Een Nederlandse webshop zonder iDEAL is als friet zonder mayonaise: technisch mogelijk, maar niemand wordt er blij van. Ruim de helft van alle Nederlandse online betalingen loopt via iDEAL, dus wie dat niet aanbiedt, ziet klanten afhaken bij de kassa. Gelukkig is Mollie in een uurtje aan uw Odoo-webshop te koppelen. Waarom Mollie?
Mollie is een Nederlandse betaalprovider die goed bij het mkb past: geen maandelijkse minimumkosten, u betaalt per transactie, en de connector zit standaard in Odoo. Naast iDEAL ondersteunt Mollie onder meer creditcards, Bancontact (handig voor Belgische klanten), Apple Pay en Klarna — allemaal via één contract en één uitbetaling.
Stappenplan: van account naar eerste betaling
- Maak een account aan op mollie.com en doorloop de bedrijfsverificatie (KVK-gegevens en bankrekening; reken op één tot twee werkdagen).
- Ga in Odoo naar Website → Configuratie → Betaalproviders, open Mollie en zet de status op Testmodus.
- Kopieer de test-API-key uit het Mollie-dashboard (Developers → API-keys) en plak deze in Odoo.
- Activeer de gewenste betaalmethoden op twee plekken: in het Mollie-dashboard én in Odoo onder het tabblad betaalmethoden van de provider.
- Plaats een testorder in uw eigen webshop en reken af — in testmodus gaat er geen echt geld over de toonbank.
- Werkt alles? Vervang de test-key door de live-key, zet de provider op Ingeschakeld en doe ter controle nog één kleine echte bestelling.
Automatisch afletteren: de stille tijdwinst
Mollie betaalt uw ontvangsten gebundeld uit. Koppel daarom een apart Mollie-tussenrekening-dagboek in Boekhouding → Configuratie → Dagboeken, dan matcht Odoo de betalingen automatisch tegen de openstaande orders. Een webshop met dertig orders per dag bespaart daarmee al snel een kwartier handmatig aflettering — elke dag weer.

Step by step: from account to first payment
- Create an account at mollie.com and complete the business verification (chamber of commerce details and bank account; allow one to two working days).
- In Odoo, go to Website → Configuration → Payment Providers, open Mollie and set the state to Test Mode.
- Copy the test API key from the Mollie dashboard (Developers → API keys) and paste it into Odoo.
- Activate the payment methods you need in two places: in the Mollie dashboard and in Odoo on the provider's payment methods tab.
- Place a test order in your own store and pay — in test mode no real money changes hands.
- Everything working? Replace the test key with the live key, set the provider to Enabled and place one small real order as a final check.
Automatic reconciliation: the quiet time saver
Mollie pays out your receipts in batches. Set up a dedicated Mollie clearing journal in Accounting → Configuration → Journals, and Odoo will match the payments against open orders automatically. A store handling thirty orders a day easily saves fifteen minutes of manual reconciliation — every single day.
